Lily’s Pink Challenge Saturday 16th September 2023
The event will consist of a 60k cycle and a 10k run. This event can be done as an individual where you complete both the run and the cycle, or it can be done as a relay event. There will also be the option to walk/run the 10k at your own pace.
Starting at Killarney Racecourse you will cycle out of Killarney Town heading towards Fossa taking a left at the Gap Road and cycle towards Kate Kearney’s Cottage, you will continue to cycle up the Gap of Dunloe down into the black valley and up on to the R568, taking a left on the main N71 road back to the racecourse in Killarney.
On return to Killarney racecourse, you will commence the 10k run or hand over the reins to your relay partner. The 10K immerses you in the beauty of Killarney. It is a circular route starting at Killarney Race course doing a loop of Ross Island, entering the spectacular Killarney National Park and finishing back at The Killarney Race course.
Anyone who opts to take part in the 10k walk/run solely will follow the same route as the 10k run.
All routes will be marshalled and medical cover will be available on the routes.
